When one travels, one has the opportunity to see art and books that might not be easily available online.  One such find is the book and work of female Egyptian artist Zeinab Amer, who exhibited and published her art through the Sharjah Museum in the United Arab Emirates.

Aside from the artistry and important message that her art conveys, we see her interpretations and paintings of New York City and Queens, NY.  Her sense of light and color, acquired through artistic competence and cultural heritage reveals new lenses and insights about what we see daily in cities of the West.
